You can evaluate the quality of website information in several ways. You may want to try using the SIFT method:
- Stop
- Investigate the source
- Find better coverage
- Trace claims, quotes, and media to the original context
This approach will help you determine if the information is reliable, accurate, and credible. Learning more about the author, the claims made, the evidence provided, and the context or environment in which the information is presented can help you decide whether what you're reading is fact or fiction.
